About this listen

Reed Richards is brought in on a consult to oversee a privately funded dimension-spanning device...a device that will give wealthy patrons the opportunity to experience interdimensional travel. Never mind that the consortium wants to launch a sweeping endeavor that would be branded as Fantastic Forays, with the world's greatest superhero team receiving a cut of the profits; their brilliant lead scientist, Rachel Hunt, has now discovered a way to safely traverse interspace - the main conduits situated between dimensions - that allows one access to a multitude of realities. And it is this very discovery of these gateways that puts the Fantastic Four on the front lines of a new kind of war, as dark forces gather and conspire to bring about the utter annihilation of all humanity.

Though it was a great audiobook and would recomed it to you. But toward the end it got a bit boring

Bought this due to a combination of Peter David’s recent passing a few months ago and seeing FF First Steps a few weeks ago putting me the mood to check out more of the team’s stories
David was no stranger to the characters and it shows with all four members being recognisable and likeable including Johnny who thankfully isn’t written as an dumb brat as too many are guilty of. David brings his usual mix of humour and pathos having we chuckle out load or clench my fists several times gives us a tale that feels right out of 90s Marvel (in a good way)
The narrator does a brilliant job giving each character their own voice without sounding off even getting Ben’s old school Brooklyn speak down surprisingly well

Fantastic!!
