About this listen

They built him to take out their trash. Turns out they're next.

Tedd is a trash droid with an "anomaly" - he can think for himself. Management wants him smelted, and his runaway mouth isn't helping.

He could disappear quietly. He could play it safe. He could, for once in his miserable existence, do the sensible thing.

But he doesn't. He never does.

If you love Douglas Adams, John Scalzi, or Martha Wells' Murderbot Diaries, you'll devour this.

This is a great listen, really entertaining. After listening to austere space operas for so long this was really refreshing.

entertaining

fun story will try episode 2 but rather short and I expect designed to keep you purchasing more in series as my last download was 40 plus hours this was not good value for amazon credit

fun but not as exceptional as Face book hype

Written in first person about a robot or droid, whose purpose is clearing Trash. He has an irrelevant look on life and quite a bit of sarcasm. It has similarities to Martha Well's Murderbot stories and to Adrian Tchaikovsky's Service Model but is not as deep as those in examining the philosophy of sentient droids. It's entertaining enough however and this makes it an easy listen if you want to listen while doing something else that demands a percentage of your attention. It's a bit short and ends abruptly wanting you to purchase the next in the series so not good value on Audible. I hope they might batch some of them together the way they do with some of the Steve Higgs series.

Entertaining but a bit short

This is brilliant. I’ll revise this when I finish listening, but it’s a little like murderbot, if he didn’t really care about the squishy humans. Hard to put into words

Had me crying with laughter inside the first two chapters

Not usually my type of thing but it was EXCELLENT.
The cliffhanger was annoying but great at the same time. DO NOT PLAY WITHOUT HEADPHONES 🤣

Off the wall funny
