About this listen

Fate of the Fallen is the start of a brand new adventure from New York Times bestselling author Kel Kade

Not all stories have happy endings.

Everyone loves Mathias. Naturally, when he discovers it’s his destiny to save the world, he dives in head first, pulling his best friend Aaslo along for the ride.

However, saving the world isn’t as easy, or exciting, as it sounds in the stories. The going gets rough and folks start to believe their best chance for survival is to surrender to the forces of evil, which isn’t how the prophecy goes. At all. As the list of allies grows thin, and the friends find themselves staring death in the face they must decide how to become the heroes they were destined to be or, failing that, how to survive.

An excellent book from Kel Kade and great narration from Nick Podehl as always.

Amazing adventures await that enthral the read/listener. Rarely does a book make you genuinely laugh that you pause it for a moment.

Anyone looking for something new that takes a new take on heros I would stress to them to listen to this book.

Couldn't stop listening

Great story, took me back to the early technicolour films of the 70’s where gods set heroes their challenges. Made me think we imagine gods in our own likeness so our earthly character entertains us.

To start off the bat, this story doesn't take place in the same universe as dark tidings. Upsetting as it is, the story non the less is a brilliant one. It is one that I desperately want to share my personal favourite parts but can't because this book is one filled with major spoilers that effect everything about the book.

From as early as chapter 3 world changing events happen that cause me to stop and actually consider what the hell just happened. This doesn't happen once but several times throughout the book and I'm still shocked by the significance of those moments. They're are the kind of events you normally see as a cliffhanger for the end of a book.

Speaking of...

A number of people have stated that the book's ending feels like it ends abruptly and this makes the ending disappointing - which I understand but disagree. The unfortunate thing is I cannot share the ending without major spoilers. Series changing spoilers.

Yes you heard me, this is a start of a new series of books and i NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW!!!

For a recommendation of those looking for similar books is Tad Williams - the dragon bone chair.- The first ten chapters of the books starts off slowly but I promise that you will enjoy that if you enjoyed this.

Another must read from Kel Kade
