This is a book that teaches beautifully to take care, embrace and transform out strong emotions. - like fear and anger. It explains the origins of fear, and includes excellent meditations and practices that allow the listener to be in touch with suffering and transform it.

A bit oreachy at times but lots of interesting concepts. Will listen to it again to remind myself about being mindful

I normally like Thich Nhat Hanh. Indeed I listen often to his audiobooks. However, this audiobook shows that he does not really understand fear (except perhaps physical fear in front of an armed enemy, as described in the introduction). He talks about embracing fear and overcoming fear by thinking at a blue sky?! In what way can the image of a blue sky relieve from the terrible fear of becoming completely blind? how can the sound of birds relieve from the fear of becoming completely deaf? what about the fear of dementia, the fear of serious illness, the fear of painful death? I think that he was ill-advised to write a piece on fear. I don't recommend this work.
