Summary

Since the earliest days of the Great Crusade, Sanguinius - angelic primarch of the IXth Legion - was ever among the closest and most loyal of Horus' brothers. But the Blood Angels have long kept their true nature hidden from the rest of the Imperium, and when the Warmaster hints that the key to their salvation may lie in the ruins of a conquered world, the sons of Sanguinius race to claim it.

Now, as the revelation of their betrayal dawns and the traitors' hand is revealed, the Blood Angels must face all the warp-spawned armies of Chaos, as well their own personal daemons, upon the blasted plains of Signus Prime....

Good book as it's the only one to feature the angels heavily but does take a rather long time to get going

Well read by someone who seems to really get into the story and characters.
I enjoyed this immensely.

A very nice listen.

I started my audible sub with the dante and the devastation of baal and loved both of them, so when it was the first book we get to see sanguinius in action excited would not even do the feeling justice. That being said I just wish they picked a better voice actor for him, threw me off the whole time and found it hard to actually enjoy a book about my favourite primarch. That being said o did really enjoy the back story of the legion as well as the characters of some of sanguinius's closest sons. I'll admit I'm mainly hating this book because of the voice actor does not fit sanguinius in my opinion.

While I love the blood Angel's this was ok

I was put off as I'd read some negativity about the narration but I found the voicing enthusiastic and well characterised, going so far as to attempt demonic voices and doing a good job of it. the story is very well written and conjures some great images in the mind, absolutely recommend this one

excellent!
