About this listen

Meet Tony Hill's most twisted adversary - a killer with a shopping list of victims, driven by the most perverted of desires. The murder and mutilation of teenager Jennifer Maidment is horrific enough on its own. But it's not long before Tony realises it's just the start of a brutal and ruthless campaign that's targeting an apparently unconnected group of young people. Tony battles to find the answers that will give him personal and professional satisfaction in his most testing investigation yet.

Another great book from Val McDermid.
Twisting plot kept me guessing with more updates on Carol and Tony's relationship.
Enjoyed the calm and pleasant narration too.

Very well written and performed.

I really enjoyed this book. Quite often I can guess who the murderer was, but not this time. Very well done.

A Good Read.

Right the start the narrator was annoying. He was too softly spoken and all the women sounded like prissy girls instead of the strong intelligent women they were. For a hard hitting subject, the narrator was just wrong.

Narrator more suited to childrens books

the story was interesting but the performance was very wooden and I had to google saul to see who he was. it said actor and I was shocked as the talking parts didnt flow at all and he talked like he was reading the speeches... so it was very stale. found that hard to get over so didnt enjoy the book as much as could have.

reading was painful
