I bought this for my 16-year-old daughter after she came home from her first job, completely overwhelmed about taxes, budgeting, and "adult stuff" that nobody had ever explained to her. As a parent, I realized I was failing her by assuming she'd just "figure it out" like I had to.
This book is a game-changer. The author speaks teen language without being cringey about it (trust me, my daughter would have roasted me if I gave her something patronizing). The financial chapters alone are worth the price - my daughter now has her own savings plan and understands compound interest better than some adults I know.
What I love most is how practical everything is. Real scenarios, real solutions. The chapter on digital life and privacy made both of us update our security settings immediately. The relationship advice is honest without being preachy, and the career readiness section has her thinking strategically about her future instead of just stressing about it.
My daughter thanked me for getting her this book, which never happens with anything "educational." She's been sharing tips with her friends, and I've caught her referencing stuff from the book in everyday conversations.
If you have a teen (or you ARE a teen), get this book. It fills gaps that schools and even well-meaning parents often miss. Worth every penny for the confidence and independence it's building in my kid.

I was honestly nervous about how to start teaching my daughter about money—this audiobook made it so simple. The lessons are short, fun, and totally doable even with our crazy schedule. We now have little “money chats” each week, and she’s asking smart questions and even saving on her own! It gave me more confidence too. If you want something practical and kid-friendly, this is it. It’s been a great way to bond and build life skills together.
