About this listen

I’m Caleb “C-Bomb” Baumgarten, the bad boy drummer of Red Card Riot. After tragedy strikes, I get the bright idea to hire my daughter’s remaining lifeline, her “Auntie Aubbey,” as my live-in nanny in her small town. I’m determined not to give in to my white-hot attraction to Aubrey, since I need her to certify my sobriety and testify on my behalf at an upcoming custody hearing. But you know what they say about best laid plans, right? Yeah. My bad.

Finding Home is a standalone, small town, single dad rockstar romance with deep feels, suspense, spice, no cheating, no third act breakup, and a happily ever after.

These two were so cute together. They had a rocky beginning, and it took some time for them to start liking one another, but once that ball got rolling, it was like they fell together perfectly. I thoroughly enjoyed Caleb's growth through the book and how the most important parts of him were always there, even at his worst moments. Aubrey was a ray of sunshine that could be really fiesty when it's needed which made them a hilarious pairing. They complimented each other well, and the end of their story will leave you warm-hearted.

I listened to this one on audiobook, and the two narrators were great. Andi Arndt and Sean Masters both fit these characters perfectly, and their voices flowed together well. They truly brought these two to life and made this story full of even more feeling with their voices. Highly recommend!

Thank you Lauren Rowe, for interrupting my time for sleeping with this fabulous book! I could not stop listening! Caleb is a hot mess. In rehab, he learns the mother of his daughter, Raine has died and now is needed. Aubrey is the one who has been taking care of the toddler, and when they meet, it's awkward. But he has to have her help, both with Raine but to be his sobriety babysitter. Without her, Raine could fall into the hands of her evil maternal grandfather. Rowe has woven the most beautiful of love stories, the most incredible little girl and added that thread of suspense that kept me hanging. Caleb is that man. The one we love to ogle on stage, and then find out he's all that and more. Far from perfect, he is the one. Aubrey has strength beyond her years. Able to step in, fight for what she wants and keep it, I loved her finesse and loyalty. And Raine. What a kid! This is a all at once listen, one that kept my interest and won my heart.

Andi Arndt and Sean Masters are the storytellers for this fantastic story. Their performance together was emotionally charged and the chemistry was strong. The voices matched the each character and each feeling. I was all in as they created this world. Love the narration, it could not have been better cast.

Fantastic listen! In the top of the year!

This was such an interesting take on the single dad x nanny trope. It was my first book by Lauren Rowe and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I went into this book blind, with no real expectations, but I was still struck by how emotional and raw the story was. Within the first few chapters I was close to tears and the characters kept tugging at my heart throughout the story. It also has a suspense subplot that was quite thrilling.

Caleb is a bad boy rockstar who had a one night stand with a fan that resulted in a pregnancy. 2 years later, the mother of his child gets killed by a drunk driver and he’s thrown into a custody battle with her father who is a terrible guy. Another person in the mix is Aubrey, the baby mama’s best friend, who has been helping raise his daughter Raine. They end up in living together and taking care of Raine together and feelings begin to develop.

I love seeing a big, tattooed guy be vulnerable, and we see that several times with Caleb. His journey as he battles his demons and fights for his daughter makes for such a compelling story.

If you’re like a book with a strong FMC, this one definitely fits the bill. Even though Aubrey is much younger than Caleb (she’s in her early-mid 20s and he’s in his mid 30s), I didn’t really feel the age gap in the relationship. She’s confident and assertive and at times appears more mature than Caleb.

The chemistry between these two was scorching. Their attraction was undeniable from the moment they met, and the resulting tension was smouldering. Though their love developed rather quickly, their relationship felt genuinely heartwarming. Aubrey was exactly the person Caleb needed to help him navigate everything he was going through.

There are some great side characters in this story. I loved how welcoming Aubrey’s parents were. They gave him the benefit of the doubt and allowed him to earn a place in their hearts and their family. Raine is a central part of the story and she’s so adorable. Watching the three of them become a family was so heartwarming. Since most of this book takes place in Aubrey’s hometown, we don’t see much of his life in LA or his friends until the end. Still, I appreciated the glimpses we did get. Two of his friends have their own books, Rockstar and Swoon, which I will definitely be reading.

The narration in this book was phenomenal. Truth be told, I chose it because of the narrators, and they did not disappoint. Both are incredibly talented, and I’ve been eager to hear more of their work. Sean Masters, with his deep, gravelly voice, was the perfect choice for Caleb, effortlessly capturing his complexity and depth. Andi Arndt brought Aubrey to life with warmth and strength, and her portrayal of little Raine was absolutely adorable. Together, they delivered emotive performances that pulled us into the story, making us feel every twist and turn alongside the characters.

This book is perfect for lovers of emotional single dad romances with tension, humour, found family, healing, and a dash of suspense.

Caleb, the rockstar, has his life turned upside down when he discovers his daughter's mother has passed away, and it's up to him to save her from falling into the care of her maternal grandfather, who does not have great intentions. Of course, learning all this while in rehab creates the basis for an angsty story, full of emotions and drama. Aubrey, Raine's "aunt", has been taking care of the little one since her mom's passing so she quickly decides to help protect her by becoming the hired nanny and Caleb's sobriety coach. The characters are great, easy to root for and have amazing progression throughout. The whole town is amazing and feels like a character all on its own. I am very interested in other stories in this world and will be checking out other stories, past and future.

The audio production is absolutely amazing. Sean Masters was the perfect choice for the broody rockstar. His tone was great, and the attitude came out in spades. Andi Arndt is pure perfection and brought every emotion to life as Aubrey. There were nice subtly sound effects that added an extra something to the production that was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend you catch this one on audio if you can!

Caleb is a successful musician who has embraced the lifestyle which includes partying and woman. He hasn’t always made the best choices, but he knows he needs to make changes if he is ever going to be part of his daughter Raine’s life. He is working on his anger management and is determined to remain sober, but he also knows that his daughter needs Aubrey in her life as she gives her the stability she needs.

Aubrey loves Raine as if she was her own child and she has always been a part of her life as her mother was Aubrey’s best friend. She has Raine’s best interests and is willing to protect her even if that means from Caleb as well. As she and Caleb spend time together, she sees the growth in both the man and father he has become.

Caleb and Aubrey take us on an emotional journey as they fight for the girl that they both love and Caleb fights to become the man they both deserve. Andi Arndt portrays both the strength and feisty side of her personality while Sean Masters portrayed both the insecurities that Caleb was feeling as well as the protector that he truly is.

Caleb and Aubrey!
