Wow. Michelle, I wish you the best luck in the world. You deserve so much happiness. plus I hope once Joey reaches 18 he is able to come and find you. That would give you the peace your soul needs just to wrap your arms around your son.
I think I would feel in total limbo if after everything you have gone through you don’t feel his love.

Michelle’s unbelievable strength

Almost unbearable to listen to. What Michelle Knight went through and still found the will to go on (in the hope of seeing her son again, one day) leaves any kind of a feeling person intensely moved. And there are questions: why didn’t they grab the boy and SCREAM from upstairs? And why not pull the trigger, just on the off-chance that there were bullets in the gun? EASY from the outside, of course. There are always reasons on the inside. Otherwise, the reading of Maria Cabezos is excellent, as it is for Maya’s Notebook by Isabel Allende. Bottom line though: did Michelle finally get Joey back, or was she further f****d by the system? I pray that she did and that she is living happily.
