I actually read this book after Heartless and it really didn't matter at all. Not as good as book 2, but I really enjoyed it nonetheless. We get plenty of drama, angst, tension and spice too. Kept me hooked to the end.
I got the audio book and it was amazing as well.
Highly recommend the series.
