About this listen

It all started with a crazy, disaster-prone dog....

Bella Farley was in the market for a new girlfriend but never thought an unexpected trip to the animal shelter would help her find the woman of her dreams, Comfort Allen, the attractive dog trainer with the odd name. Bella also never expected to adopt Indiana, the hyperactive border collie who has a terrible habit of destroying everything (that he can reach), but life's funny like that. Follow along with the Chronicles of Indiana as two women fall in love, one disaster-prone dog gets into barrels of mischief, and romance, mishaps, and fun happen to the best of us.

Unfortunately the narrator has that irritating habit of repeatedly pausing to take a breath in the wrong place, usually where there's a comma, which messes up the flow of sentances and makes them difficult to follow. However, she kept me listening with her nice voice and ability to convey the atmosphere of the story well.

The story itself is really fanciful and most of the characters very sweet but it has an endearing, quirky quality that makes it a very pleasant listen. The quality of the writing is variable, and a little amateurish at times, but overall the audiobook is always enjoyable and I never, for a moment, regretted buying it.

I hope to hear more from both author and narrator in the future, as they gain experience and perfect their skills.

Sweet, rather charming and with a good dose of quirkiness
