This next continuation of the Titus Ray series didn't disappoint. There's plenty of action, a whole rescue mission that you know will lend itself to a lot of plot twists, plenty of thinking on one's (Titus') feet, and traveling a lot! I really enjoyed this one, but the locations may have been one of my favorite parts, being mostly centered in Cuba and the Caribbean. I loved that the story also focused on Titus' faith, and I loved the introduction of new characters, like Andrews, and the role he played (and I think will continue to play) going forward. There's a lot of testing in this story, be it in his relationship with Nikki (though I also loved their progression), his faith in the Lord, or his work scenarios, but it made it all the more fascinating to me. I loved the reminders of prayer and how the Lord's will works in our lives.

The narrator did a good job most of the time, though again, I had to give it a few chapters to get used to his voice. He nailed the different voices (difference between male and female, older and younger), but I think his Spanish could use a bit of practice. Hearing mispronunciation of words like "celebration" when it was "celebración" or "polo" instead of "pollo", to name a few, was jarring and pulled me out of the story for a bit, but other than that, it was still good to get to experience this book come alive in this way.

Seriously, as with any book in this series, I loved the suspense in this one, and I could almost hear the Mission Impossible theme playing in the background of the last chapter. Can't wait to dive into the next one! ~ 4.5 stars rounded up to 5
