Great book to understand the life and journey of Fredrick Douglas, while understanding the climate and culture of the USA. I am uncertain of how much this narrative gleaned from Fredricks Douglas' autobiography, but is not the autobiography of Fredrick which I was initially looking for. Nonetheless this was a fantastic read and worth investing in.

Very informative, impactful and easy to read
