short political article about how the US is viewing its relationship with India, implying that there is slight tension and not enough cooperation. this is tricky, because every country will define cooperation in terms of their own goals, and in a situation of conflicting interests it is difficult to expect one country to “cooperate” as the other would potentially want, and an example is used in regards to strengthening relationships with partners on Asia, where India is, versus supporting US interests in Asia and the Middle East, especially in open conflicts.
