I'm enjoying this book but no where near as much as the previous. The constant time jumping really started to confuse the more into the book you get. I guess I'm in the middle part now and really don't know where the heck in time they are!

It is great to be back in S. Legend’s “Heartbreak Hockey” world again for another amazing story, a romance story like no other and one that will captivate your attention and tug at your heartstrings the entire time. S. Legend created something special when she created this series, starting with the characters, their friendships and bonds, a found family. This fourth book is Stacey Alderchuck and Dash Nolan’s story, a friends-to-lovers romance that was years in the making. Both characters appeared in Stacey’s twin brother’s book, and it was great to learn more about them. I was not expecting the book to start out as it did, and it sure hit me hard. A fragile Dash is getting stronger every day, and Stacey has become his protector and is there to get him through his struggles and challenges. Their story is told in alternate timelines, with chapters dedicated to a specified time in the past, and the other chapters in the present/current time, all presented in a time order and is easy to follow. S. Legend made these two work for their love, though that is not exact, since they already loved each other, but life was it was all complicated. My heart went out to both of them, for all they endured, all that pining, and for all the could have and should have been(s). S. Legend put a lot of heart into this story, and you can feel the emotions pour off the pages straight into your own heart. This beautifully written and plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, angst, witty dialogue, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn but so worth the wait romance. It was great to see the characters from the earlier books again, and you got to love the Meyers clan, whom I could never get enough of. S. Legend, thank you for another terrific story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Tim Paige and Kale Williams did a fantastic job voicing these characters and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. Williams nailed it as Stacey, grasping all sides of his personality, from his caring side to possessive side and all in between. Paige did the same in Dash’s role and was just as amazing in showcasing his personality. Both were fantastic at performing the roles of the side and secondary characters too. The emotions of each character shone through in their performance, and they made you feel them all. These two are a great pairing, with talent and voices that complement each other and an entertaining performance that keeps you hooked to the story.

A beautiful, deeply emotional, melancholy story of epic pining. A narrative revolving around multiple flashbacks that tells the story of these well crafted characters and their beautiful turmoils.
Dash and Stacey's storyline finally comes to audiobook and it is glorious. Our fantastic and highly talented voice actors deliver such incredible performances. Giving us beautiful depth and insight into these characters and their wonderful and complex development.

An incredible and anticipated addition to this series! Pure brilliance... the audio experience is absolutely incredible.
