What a useful book especially given the present cost of living crisis and environmental issues
I found the chapters about pest control and seed harvesting particularly interesting and helpful as well as the guidance regarding the nutritional benefits of certain plants

For starters, I appreciate vegetables on a whole other level so this piqued my interest. I've tried growing simple things like chili peppers but didn't think of this. Very useful and a good call! When you get to the part about harvesting it gets more interesting!

Since the Pandemic, my wife, kids and I have been cooking more together. Since inflation has spiked, we considered starting a garden. This book is an amazing resource and has gotten us excited about gardening in order to save money and create a fun family activity. And, we’re helping the environment at the same time. Talk about a win win win… We only wish we’d listened to this audiobook at the beginning of the pandemic!

I have listened to a few gardening books but this book comes at it from a different angle. There are two dedicated chapters to kitchen scraps and the rest of the chapters are about gardening; however not what you'd expect. Teaching kids about gardening, handling a pandemic and other topics I didn't expect appeared. My only quibble is that the way the narrator ends his sentences is very repetitive, this doesn't take away from the book though. So overall 5 stars!
