I love this series.

Common goal was good, simple read.

Role models covered some hard hitting topics, had an MC who wasn't ripped and made me cry. I loved the character development.

The long game was a bit of a miss for me. I love Shane and Ilya but this felt like it was written differently from the others..more third person maybe? It also didn't help that the narrator kept changing between American and Russian accent for Ilya. It covered depression and suicidal ideation a little bit and there was a lack of fluff but still, worth a read; just a tad disappointing.

Great reads overall. Glad I've read the series and will read the final book when it's out.

If you have read the first books in this series, you will love the follow-up Shane and Ilya’s story-such a beautiful love story. Okay, so there’s lots of rude bits too.!

I have avoided this series like the plague for over 2 years and I could kick myself now.. I don’t usually enjoy 3rd POV and I don’t usually like overhyped books so I just dismissed it. I only read MM, usually darker or taboo, and I do enjoy most tropes/genres..so once I’d seen clips of the TV show on TikTok I decided to read the series just incase it ever airs in UK. Well…I have seriously missed out for years! I don’t know how I will ever love another couple as much as Shane & Ilya. I really enjoyed books 1,2,5&6 but it’s Shane and Ilya that will always have a special place in my fictional couple heart. It’s a fantastically written series that interconnects absolutely perfectly. It’s also very well done for a 3rd POV. It’s usually distracting for me to read and I zone out, I never quite buy the feelings of characters without it being 1st but this is done that well I completely forgot.

common goal is only a 2 ⭐ for me. It was exhausting!

Role model is a 4 ⭐

Long game (& heated rivalry) is literally infinity ⭐
