If you could sum up Get Out of Debt Now in three words, what would they be?

Debt recovery plan

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

More case studies from people who have used the plan would make the book more enjoyable.

What does Allen Carr bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I'm not sure.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not really but it did change the way I spend and save.

Any additional comments?

A great book for anyone trying to get out of debt.

A useful tool for changing your spending habits

Would you consider the audio edition of Get Out of Debt Now to be better than the print version?

No idea.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The book is useful and gives you a sense of purpose to working on your debt. However, it is not narrated by Allen Carr, which was a disappointment, since he was such a good speaker. I don't think it was written by him either, but by someone who is now in charge of his clinics. It seems to be the method, but not quite authentic.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Wasn't a story.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No.

Any additional comments?

Worth looking at if you're in debt (who isn't?) and what you can do about it. Didn't seem to have that usual magic Allen Carr effect on me really.

Good listen but not entirely authentic

LOVE Allen's quit smoking and drinking books they really, really work. I'm not entirely sure the same principle for quitting those vices can cross over to finance, it just doesn't seem to work in the same way. Don't get me wrong there are some 100% solid bits of advice in here from sorting your "junk spending" out, to getting started with a financial plan. But, if you really are struggling with debt and it's getting out of control speak to someone like Step Change a charity that will help you get out and see the light at the end of the tunnel, and they won't charge you a penny.
Yes, there is some great advice and guidance in here, but it won't get you out of debt now, it will get you out of debt eventually, it's a very long slow game to play.

Good Book With Sound Advice

I enjoyed that this book explored the reason behind getting into debt and changing the mentality of the debtor.
Some parts are possibly a little unrealistic for some debtors to do, and I feel a proper debt counselling agency is better equipped to help. However, the book will help stop a person who has manageable debts from incurring further debts.

OK as long as you do not have huge debts

I found this book very interesting and it's made me think differently about how big corporate money lenders sell you there wares, once you understand this it's easier to avoid the temptation of getting into debt, very thought provoking.
