A Warhammer 40,000 Audiobook

A mighty warlord of the Blood Axes must face his biggest challenge, and it's not the Black Templars at his doorstep. It's being in the shadow of Ghazghkull Thraka, as his mighty Waaagh! swallows up an empire like it's nothing.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

Dive deep into orky kulture and see how a new warboss deals with unhappy allies, angry Space Marines, and the demands of Ghazghkull Thraka.

THE STORY

Slitta da Stabba is a new warboss of the Blood Axes, and his problems are only just beginning.

Now he answers to Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka, the mightiest ork in the galaxy, unchallenged warlord of the greatest Waaagh! to ever assail Humanity. Worlds burn in his bootprints, and every boss bows before him.

Ghazghkull has set his sights on the Blood Axe world of Gabal for a titanic showdown with the Black Templars, and not all of his boyz are happy about it. Caught between treacherous allies, vengeful crusaders, and the unstoppable momentum of Da Warlord of Warlords himself, Slitta must decide what side he's on, and fast.

Denny has not only captured the true essence of what it means to be an ork in the 40k universe, but he has tapped in to an eloquent way of making them relatable, but not through their humanity, but in the way we fear the dark... even if that darkness is too busy drinking to see what it could do. This novel also sits as possibly the best thing to come out of the Black Library publishing group in well over a decade, really embodying what it means to enjoy Warhammer 40k.

The Best Ork Book Ever

When the Örks seem more rational than the Astartes. What chapter you may ask, Eaters of Worlds? Nah, these are zealots! Death Guard? Bearers of those Heretic Words? Still wrong. Örks just want a good fight, The Templars in Black hunt for Ghazkull on a backwards world of Luddites who just want to live and love. It's a real pity they have conspired with Xenos and thus need to be burned as the heretics they are. Templars and Örks compete in a 'who can kill more humies' competetition.

Harry Myers, as usual, voices Orks better than anyone else.

Good fun, it's a tragedy, it's a comedy, it's all that it should be!

Easily my favourite of the ork books so far, did a great job with the pacing. Harry Myers' performance was amazing throughout.

Couldn't stop once I started

Everyone is having fun in this novel. The boyz are krumpin, the Black Templars are having….what I guess they have is fun. Most of all the author is having fun. From the name of the starship “hanging” above, to a Grott dying. This novel is fun. If this is an apology to the previous Ghazghkull Thraka, novel. Apology accepted.

FUN! FuN! Fun!
