I have been waiting years to find a digital release of these classic readings. Sir Michael Hordern’s readings of M.R. James’ subtle ghost stories cannot be bettered in my view. The delicate variability of his tone perfectly conveys the mix of scholarliness, domesticity and horror that characterises these wonderful stories. Thank you, Audible!
