About this listen

The Carnacki institute exists to do something about ghosts. Lay them to rest, send them packing, or kick their nasty ectoplasmic arses with extreme prejudice.

The institute’s operatives are the best of the best. JC Chance: sharp, brave, charming, and almost unbearably arrogant; Melody Chambers: science geek, techno-wizard extraordinaire who keeps the antisupernatual equipment running smoothly; and Happy Jack Palmer: the telepath with the gloomy disposition, the last person anyone would want navigating through their head.

Performed by Nanette Savard, Matthew Keenan, Scott McCormick, Colleen Delany, Yasmin Tuazon, Eric Messner, Kimberly Gilbert, Evan Casey, Ken Jackson, Patrick Bussink, Faith Potts, Tara Giordano, Terence Aselford, Tracy Olivera, Ren Kasey.

It took a while to get into this real tongue in cheek episode . Once I went with it , I realised how funny and clever the actors were and how talented the writer is .

Cliche Characters

I love all Simon’s books but he can’t ever seem to get good narrators on Audible. Most stories are unlistenable a lot are a monotone drawl this is no exception what’s with those accents especially the narrator. Sounds like The Queen if she was from TEMU. Mixed with a poor man’s Alan Rickman I couldn’t finish it unfortunately I have a few of Simon’s books on here unfinished. Thank god I have the physical books.

I love all of Simon’s books

Weird how the characters talk…. Story was good but no one talks like this in the UK. Clearly a stereotype of Brits.

Accents??
