About this listen

Abby Rogers has been on health kicks before - they involve eating one blueberry muffin for breakfast instead of two. When Abby is encouraged to join her sporty best friend's running club - by none other than its gorgeous new captain - she finds a mysterious compulsion to exercise.

Then her colleague, Heidi, turns up at work and makes a devastating announcement, one that will change her life - and Abby's - forever.

Nice easy listening, a chick flick of a book. I would give it a go on a pleasant beach day.

Really had to persevere with this book as the narration of the male characters were so off putting, otherwise a good story.

Shame about the narration

The story was a light entertaining chick lit. But the narrators male voices did cause me to nearly give up listening to it on many occasions which is a real shame.

I picked this with the prediction of it being a slow-burning romance, but this story had ultimately more layers to it than I was expecting, and enjoyed it all the more for it. The running storyline I thought was explored, developed and presented very well and I highly enjoyed both Abby's character and her surrounding storylines.

Enthralling contemporary story
