About this listen

Running a restaurant was hard, but it filled Clive’s life with meaning. Running through a portal was easy, but it filled Clive’s life with demons.

Weak in a world full of strength, all he and his friends have is their grit and determination to survive as they navigate this brutal, war-torn land of magic in search of a way home.

There’s a problem, though. Clive’s been cursed. A little stabby, stabby from a demonic knife catapults them into a race against time to find a cure. Fighting their way across Falritas, they need friends and levels like there’s no tomorrow. Because there might not be…

God of the Feast is a LitRPG/GameLit portal fantasy set in a chaotic land ruled by ruthless Gods, complete with game mechanics, progression system and empire-building. Despite their best efforts, the characters are driven by anger, fear, and lust, and as a result their journey is full of dark humor, violence, and profanity.

If you like progression style litrpg, with a slice of portal / isekai added to the mix, then you should enjoy this story. It’s just as much fun the following series: dungeon crawler Carl, the first defiler, he who fights monsters, the land etc. if you enjoyed any of those series, then you will like this new epic series. You get a long 30 plus hours of quality story for one credit. The pacing is tight. The dialogue is fun. The characters are likeable. The world building is extensive. The action is exciting.

Finally the narrator is excellent. However, if you are an American who finds English accents other than Texan, New York or Californian hard to understand then you might not appreciate the narration. I loved it, as I like all English accents so long as the narrator is skilled in their delivery, and this one is. If you are not sure, try going someone speaking with a Sunderland accent or sample the first five minutes of audio, as the main character and his two best friends come from Sunderland, England and speak like Sir Davos from Game of Thrones. The Narrator dose an excellent job changing his voice and accent for all the other casts of characters who do not come from Sunderland.

Epic portal world Isekai litrpg Sunderland style

It was a pleasant Suprise to hear somone from up my way narrating and then to find out it starts on a night out in Sunderland started my laughter. Any Geordie or Mackem will have a good laugh at the slang and sayings confusing the fantasy world beings 😂 great story from start to Finnish.

Awesome fantasy litRPG with a North East twang

One of the best Litrpg’s out there hands down. I can understand though if non UK listeners find it hard to understand the narration.

Excellent
