I have read all of the D.I Gordy Haig books several times and love them all, also read all of the D.C.I Grimm books which are also amazing and these are where D.I Gordy Haig's character first appears and evolved and links to these. 5***** aren't enough for these books, can't wait for the next one.

For me this story starts off a little slowly and with a very dark tone, but once it finds its stride it really motors along. The plot is engaging, with an intriguing mystery that keeps you listening as Gordinia and her team work to uncover the truth. Ruth Urquhart’s narration is excellent throughout. She brings the characters to life and does a great job of building tension, which adds a lot to the overall listening experience.
Highly recommended.

Brilliant Stuff!

Really enjoyed everything written by this author. Unfortunately, the narrator of the DI Haig books cannot do her accent and I’ve found this very off putting.

Great story, terrible narrator

Narration poor. Just stick with your own accent please, and don't attempt west country and other accents. Confusing plot, too much irrelevant detail about Gordy's personal relationships, and the author's descriptive writing is starting to grate. I love the Grimm series, but this was beyond boring. A wasted credit

Awful narration
