Summary

Take one sea-view villa, add two dates with a Greek God, a few glasses of wine, a dash of accidental nudity, and a heavy dose of sunshine. Recipe for a perfect getaway… or an absolute disaster?

Small, shy, safe. That's how Becky lives ever since her last romantic calamity landed her in hospital. Her comfort zone is as confining as her tiny bank balance, and fiercely guarded by her totally over-the-top mum. But the news that her ex is back sniffing round is the final straw. In a very un-Becky move, she packs her bags for the Greek island of Skiathos. When sizzling hot restaurant-owner Kyros asks her to stay longer, Becky is stunned. Could she really create a new life for herself here, and trust her heart with this smooth-talking charmer? But just as she's thinking about putting down roots, her troublesome ex makes a dramatic return, begging for her back. Will she go back to playing it safe, or will she take a chance on Greece and embrace her true dancing queen?

I live near Liverpool and love Thesaloniki side of Greece. I know Greek culture v well and the whole book brought back many happy memories. Hearing the areas in UK too where familiar +accents good.
.. Aside from the familiar, the story was pleasant although the Scott issue could be a real trigger for some women +it was unexpected. I personally would put a 'domestic violence' warning in the bio.
It was realistic, unpleasant and a well written story line.. The Greeks spoke English a little too well. The I've component was really sweet. I don't know the Author and I think the book was free but if I'd paid I'd have been happy. I enjoyed both the story, the characters and the narration.

Everything

Pronounciation of Skopelos was totally wrong and irritating and Thank you in Greek was incorrectly pronounced. But more research from narrator? Enjoyed parts when it was about the people but not the constant trips around the island - didn't add to the story.

Not enough story like a diary of tourist attractions

I found that it was too much like listening to a tourist guide book.
Such a lot of eating and drinking which was rather repetitive.
The story was light and easy to listen to but there wasn't much excitement.

very descriptive

I enjoyed listening to this book about uncle Henry's Villa in Greece where the main character goes on a girls holiday there with her friends and meets Greek God Kyros.

The only thing that I would mention and give a 🚨🚨TRIGGER WARNING🚨🚨 for is the main characters backstory is 'DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ' and it rears it's vile head again in this story near the very end.

Otherwise it's 'Sun, Sea & Sunbathing' and everything you would expect from a holiday in Greece with the gal pals, pure Chicklit!

,The narrator did her job well and I didn't have to use a credit because this novel was FREE to listen too through the Plus Catalogue included membership and
I recommend it 🌠

A NICE LISTEN 3 STARS 🌟🌟🌟

Very soft snd gentle storyline where Greek islands are main character. Was too long and the main storyline that should have had more prominence. I did enjoy the description of every cafe, beach and meal consumed!

It’s all about Greece!
