I looooove Norse Mythology. Did a powerpoint presentation on Norse Paganism in College as part of a Public Speaking class. This book really brought me back to everything I studied while teaching me more then I ever got from other books. Incredible deep dive yet perfect story telling for beginners. What a great audiobook! Wow!

I didn't even know what Nose Paganism was so I decided to get this book so chapter one gave me an outstanding explanation of what it is. Chapter four on the Norse Calendar and Holidays was probably my favorite. Interesting to know  that the Norse thought the Sun set  in the West and rose in the East. This chapter also dives into the religious beliefs of these people. The chapter describes how their understanding of time was made by using the sun and moon. A slight comedic twist is also on duty here called the slaughter month. I won't go on but you can use your imagination or listen lol There's many other fascinating chapters, from memory the mythology and creatures ones were decent and if you really want to get serious then there is also a chapter that will teach you how to practice Norse. Not for me but some may be inspired to try it out. Well narrated and goes along with the topic for me.

This audio book is fascinating. I highly recommended you listen to it if you like learning about ancient civilizations and their belief systems. Although this audio book even had a chapter allocated to modern Norse pagans. I also recommend if you watch any of todays popular shows that include Vikings you listen to this.
