This one feels very 1970’s. An unwholesome story which sets out to explore the troubling relationship between two adolescent girls, older men and the adult world in general. It’s very odd and rather uncomfortable to listen to today. The story is told from the point of view of the girls and of one in particular. Good and evil, maturity and innocence, and power in relationships all come under scrutiny. The ending is predictable given the period in which the novel first appeared. I don’t think I can recommend it.
