'Give me Harry Potter,' said Voldemort's voice, 'and none shall be harmed. Give me Harry Potter, and I shall leave the school untouched. Give me Harry Potter, and you will be rewarded.'

As he climbs into the sidecar of Hagrid's motorbike and takes to the skies, leaving Privet Drive for the last time, Harry Potter knows that Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters are not far behind. The protective charm that has kept Harry safe until now is broken, but he cannot keep hiding. The Dark Lord is breathing fear into everything Harry loves, and to stop him Harry will have to find and destroy the remaining Horcruxes. The final battle must begin—Harry must stand and face his enemy...

These full cast audiobooks have been a great listen, as much as I loved the Stephen Fry narrated series, these ones just have that extra magical escence to them, you really can imagine and picture what's happening, and with some of the well known voice actors/actresses you can truly picture them in their roles. Highly recommend, my only issue is finding something else to listen to now

Spellbinding Series

I have listened to all the new version Harry Potter audiobooks. Overall, everything is just wonderful. I loved the depths of the auditory experience. The noises is in the background, particularly add a wonderful depth to the storytelling.
All the voice actors are great and match our experiences of the films. However, Hermione voice is very grating. I’m genuinely sorry to give this feedback but it stood out for me and unfortunately distracted me from the storytelling. Whenever Hermione was angry, distressed, or fuming the actor was just too over the top for my liking.

Wonderful but Hermiones voice grates

Yet again exceptional performances and ambience. The backing music and all the vocals used to bring everything together is magnetising.
However, to lose 4 hours from the original audible version is baffling to me. It remains immersive but it’s very noticeable that a lot of lines and sentences have been skipped over in each chapter

Loss of story

This series has been utterly brilliant. Almost flawless. Every single one was fantastic.
The final one was a great ending in 2007, now this has topped the series off perfectly.
Loved it. This is now the way I shall revist the books in a couple of years.
