Stephen Fry brings the richness of these magical stories to life in the original British recordings.

'Welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizard. Just stick out your wand hand, step on board and we can take you anywhere you want to go.'

Treat your ears to a performance so rich and captivating you'll imagine yourself in the halls of Hogwarts. Wherever you listen, the unmistakable voice of Stephen Fry is guaranteed to guide you ever more deeply into this magical story and transport you to the heart of the adventure.

When the Knight Bus crashes through the darkness and screeches to a halt in front of him, it's the start of another far from ordinary year at Hogwarts for Harry Potter. Sirius Black, escaped mass-murderer and follower of Lord Voldemort, is on the run - and they say he is coming after Harry. In his first ever Divination class, Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry's tea leaves... But perhaps most terrifying of all are the Dementors patrolling the school grounds, with their soul-sucking kiss...

Theme music composed by James Hannigan

Having become classics of our time, the Harry Potter stories never fail to bring comfort and escapism. With their message of hope, belonging and the enduring power of truth and love, the story of the Boy Who Lived continues to delight generations of new listeners.

The Prisoner of Askaban is definitely my favourite of the Harry Potter stories. It zooms along at a great pace with lots of excitement, one particular favourite bit is the last Quidditch match to win the cup. This story makes the transition between the earlier lighter stories to the later increasingly darker ones. This is the time when Harry Potter finds out that not all things can be made right. A very enjoyable audible for a grey winter's day.

Fantastic!

Who doesn't like listening to Stephen Fry read Harry Potter?
I love this series, and The Prisoner of Azkaban is no different. Finding out more about Harrys' past is good, I felt that this was slightly darker than the first two, as if written for a larger, wider audience than the first two. Which is no bad thing.

Great book. Great narrator

If you could sum up Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Book 3 in three words, what would they be?

Exciting! Thrilling! Moving!

What other book might you compare Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Book 3 to, and why?

No comparison necessary, stands on its own!

What does Stephen Fry bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

As much as read WHOLE series as they came out, he lends a special magic sparkle to them! As someone else said in a review "a marriage made in heaven", wholeheartedly agree!!! :D

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, various to different characters :)

Any additional comments?

Although darker in nature as they go along, there is the basic element of good against evil, love, friendship, support and loyalty theme running through. :)

Another wonderful book!

Tonight I listened to the story and it was excellent!
My favourite characters is Hermione and Ron because they are always fighting and it was funny.
My least favourite characters are Malfoy, Crab and goil because they are so mean to the weaslys and Hermione because she has parents who are muggels (humans.) My best bit was when they were on the train and the dementors, proffeser Lupin and crokshanks are introduced in the story.
It's really funny when Malfoy gets told off by Lupin. Professor Morgonable called Harry and Hermione in her office. I love this book and can't wait to read the next book which will probably be amazing as well!

This is my 8 year old talking and I can tell she really liked the book because she wanted to listened to the rest.

Incredible, amazing, excellent, delightful
