About this listen

Danica Rawlins

She’s a career woman, constantly busy, under pressure, and in demand. But the job that once seemed like a dream to her now feels more like a nightmare.

When the stress gets too much, she escapes the office and drives, discovering beauty in the wide-open spaces that surround her in the country. Leaving the worries behind, if only temporarily.
The last thing she expected to find was him.

Noah Edwards

He left the big city behind him long ago and forged a different path. One of earth and sky instead of steel and smog. Acres of plants instead of thousands of people.
The day she stumbled into his life, everything changed.
He saw his former life in her.
And when he looked in her eyes, he saw his future.
He was determined to save her.
Show her a life she never dreamed existed - and a love that would enrich them both.

This is one of my favorite series I’ve ever read. I love finding a story with an instant connection. One thing about the series is that the drama doesn’t feel overly dramatic. It just feels like real life and totally relatable. The growth of the love from the MCs feels true. And even with the events on the story I can’t help but fall in love with them myself. There were 2 epilogues and that just gives me the warm and fuzzies. I will definitely be listening to this again. I think the narrators did a great job!

I should note that I was given a free promo code in a group on Facebook. I was actually given it today and jumped at the chance to listen to this story! I couldn’t stop listening and finished it in the same day. This is still my honest review.

Loved it!!!

This fabulous story swept me in right from the start and it did not just grab and captivating my attention for the entire book, but it tugged on my heartstrings too. I am ashamed to say this but this is my first book written by Melanie Moreland, I have had several of her books on my ‘want to read/listen’ list and I am sorry it took me so long to listen to one of her books. She truly is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style, her storylines are interesting and original and her characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they were easy to like and care about too. I adored the two lead characters, Danica “Dani” Rawlins and Noah Edwards. Dani is a career oriented business woman who works for a demanding boss in a high-stress job. The stress is taking a toll on her both mentally and physically, though she continues to ignore it and all the signs and pushes on. Having to get away from it all, she takes a drive away from the city and winds up getting lost in the country. Luckily she found a country side store, “The Harvest Table” to stop in to ask for directions. Noah runs “The Harvest Table” with his family, it is a farm to table type restaurant and market. He saw something in Dani that not only reminded him of who he used to be, but he also felt an attraction and connection to her. I just loved how everything played out in this book, Dani was at a crossroads in her life and Noah was the perfect person to have at her side as she found her way. This beautifully written and plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions, some lighthearted and heavyhearted and a wonderful romance. Melanie Moreland, thank you for the wonderful story and the emotional rollercoaster ride, I am looking forward to checking out more of your books. Also, I loved the way you handled what Dani was going thru and for keeping it all real.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Maxine Mitchell and John Lane are talented narrators and voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit the character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Maxine Mitchell nailed it as Dani, capturing her every emotion and has you feeling every single one. John Lane did the same for Noah. Both were great at performing the roles of the secondary character as well. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances the story to another level. Thank you for another amazing listen.

This was a low angst insta-love story with a very serious mental health issue, that was dealt with realistically. All the feels for this book, I never wanted it to end. Love Dani and Noah's relationship and the support they got from Noah's family was just endearing. Enjoyed the narration as well, wish John Lane had more parts though, Maxine Mitchell did an amazing job but I would have loved to get more from Noah's pov.

Uplifting story of healing and love

Dani is a woman on the rise but she is suffering panic attacks when she meets Noah. Their connection is instant Noah knows what Dani is going through and what she needs but realizes that Dani has to be the one to make the choice. I loved that Noah points out and makes suggestions but he lets Dani be the ultimate choice maker.

I adored Harvest of Love when I read the e-book; The characters, the story, the emotion - it all culminated in a sweet yet sexy warm hug of a read. The audio version lived up to all my expectations from reading the book but left me feeling a deeper emotional connection to these wonderful characters.

This book is the fifth in M. Moreland’s Insta-Spark collection - a series of stand alone novels where you’re guaranteed sweetness alongside your HEA. Please don’t think that means these books are tame, though. There’s sex and foul language and all of that kind of good stuff to go along with the sweetness. And for those unaware, M. Moreland is another name used by author Melanie Moreland.

Dani is a tough business woman - VP of a big Toronto company. But, when the pressure gets to her, she finds herself far from the city and running straight into the arms of Noah. Dani is a hugely likeable and relatable character. You can see exactly why she’s gone far in her career - and also why she’s beginning to burn out. I imagine it was ridiculously hard to pull off a character who is having such a tough time as Dani was without having her come across as unsympathetic. But it was definitely pulled off. Dani never comes across as whiny or weak - exactly the opposite. I was rooting for her from beginning to end. She’s portrayed in the audio book by Maxine Mitchell and a superb job she does, too. She’s got a delightfully raspy voice which I 100% believed as Dani’s. She also injects emotion into her speech - clearly living the words rather than just reading them which really helped me feel the story.

Noah. Oh my lord, Noah. If he isn’t just the perfect hero. He’s kind, sweet, caring and head over heels for Dani from the first glimpse of her. Despite those descriptions, he still comes across as a big, strong, tough guy. And one that is all in with Dani and wants forever with her. While he wants her to live with him, he’s also willing to make compromises to be with her - so you always feel there’s an equal balance in their relationship. His part is read by John Lane - a sexier, deeper voice you’d be hard pressed to find. More of the story is told from Dani’s point of view, but when Noah’s voice is heard, it makes an impact. If you hadn’t guessed - I loved him!

The heat between Dani and Noah was delicious - I really felt their connection. As I said, this book is sweet as the pies that Dani makes, but it’s also wonderfully sexy and hot. The emotion is what makes this story, however. I felt it and I loved it.

This is not a complicated story but, for me, it packed a huge punch. It spoke to me, and brought out a lot of emotion as I saw myself in the characters - Dani especially. It really gave me a hopeful feeling and it made me happy - which is really what I want from a book. Whether you’ve read the book first, or just want to hear a great story on audio, then this is a book I’d happily recommend to you. It’s a nice length of 5 hours and 45 mins so you can get through it relatively quickly - and enjoy every minute of it. 5 stars.
