Summary

What a fabulous opener to a series! I loved this story. Hawk was so smitten with Tessa. He was protective, supportive and utterly gone for her. Tessa trusted Hawk on instinct and her instinct wasn't wrong. This story requires the standard suspense in disbelief that all MC romance novellas require, but it also has a supreme level of heat and dirty talk with a lovely HEA and a sweet epilogue. The narration by Wyeth Watts and Amy Hall was excellent.



This was an excellent start to my book listening of 2026.

this book lacked a complex plot and was a case of insta love. no real friction or depth to the characters. but an easy quick listen while doing the laundry.
