Supernatural meets Two Broke Girls in the start of a new urban fantasy series, based off of the TikTok series CaFae Latte.

Jennifer Charles (JC) has sort of figured out their life. They’re two months out of prison, clean, and sober, and just got a job at a coffeeshop: CaFae Latte, owned by the mysterious and powerful fairy who goes by Violet. They’re getting along with their knife-happy coworker and have even started dating one of the regulars who practices witchcraft.

But JC is not the only one with a dark past. When Violet’s Fae Realm enemies come for revenge, they frame JC for their crimes, putting their new life in jeopardy. With Violet missing and everyone blaming the ex-con, JC will have to face their own checkered past, Confederate vampires, and shapeshifting fairies to save their boss and themself.

I loved all of it, kinda disappointed when i realized i was on the last chapter, listening to the whole book in just 2 days.

This book was everything I had hoped for and more. I have no words that would sufficiently describe how much I enjoyed it. For everyone considering reading, worth it. I've only got one issue; Rethu's name's pronunciation, C. M. Alongi emphasizes the "e" more, so that's what I was expecting.

Hi I’m a girl from the uk and I’ve loved caffe latte since I watched the series on tick tock. So when I found out the book was coming out I was ecstatic. I must admit I thought I may have got my hopes up too high but the moment I listened it was better than I had ever imagined! I loved seeing my favourite character (Nichole) and being able to properly imagine her as black. As the author is white and Nichole is supposed to be black in the skits as well. I wish weed scene more of her strength in the fights though, but the betrayal of her as autistic was excellent ( speaking from experience ). I also wish that I had seen my other favourite from the tick tock series Husnia. Wile I don’t connect with her as well as Nichole I still love her so much - plus’s I am to the mum friend. Hopefully we seee her in the next book???🤞. My favourite part of the book was all the little bits where you get to see how cute Nichole and JC are tougher, a part I love in the series as swell. All in all it was well worth the pre- order. I loved it 🥰!

Loved the believable well rounded characters. Also the great inclusivity of not only all genders but also disability representation.
Great story which was fast paced and constantly moving.
Can’t wait for the next one. Xx
