Summary

What would you do to remember? What would you give to forget?

When Tess Porter agrees to pick up her boyfriend’s college pal at the airport on a snowy December night, she has no idea she’s about to embark on the most dangerous ride of her life. Two days later, the seventeen-year-old wakes up in a hospital with broken bones, unable to remember how she got there. Her parents are acting strange, and neither James, her boyfriend, nor her best friend, Izzy, has visited. As she struggles to physically recover, Tess wrestles with haunting questions: What happened? Will her memory ever return? And what if she’s better off not recalling any of it?

This book was a free one that I found surprisingly good. The author has captured the emotions and grief which are very realistic. Including the dynamics of family life. Although very sad in places it was an enjoyable book. Thank you

I really enjoyed this novel. The main premise is intriguing and the magic comes from the way that Liz tells the tale. %recommend

I wasn’t expecting to like this. I thought it’d be a fairly forgettable read. It actually just made me cry my eyes out and that’s hard to do. Give it a try but have the tissues ready!

Unexpectedly good.

I really enjoyed this psychological thriller. It was a gripping story that kept me engaged. It was interesting the way Tess’s memory of that night was given to us slowly, building the tension & needing to know exactly what happened. I was pleasantly surprised as it was a freebie. Well worth a listen. Narrated well.

Kept me gripped!
