Alan Innes, Laird of Edinburgh, Clan McGregor, finds himself falling for the beautiful servant-maid, Heather, the daughter of the castle’s groundskeeper. He has just returned home to the castle, planning his wedding to a woman he will never love. When his mother catches Alan and Heather alone, her suspicions rise.
