'Bret Hart still makes me believe that wrestling is good' Hulk Hogan

Having previously read the book, this is the definitive way to experience to Bret’s story now. The detail and gravitas he gives his past excels in this version. The best wrestling autobiography there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.

Sensational

I found this book by chance in my local supermarket years ago and read it cover to cover unable to put it down at times.

Years later the audible version just appears out of nowhere. Instant purchase.

Bret reading it himself was the only choice. Cheers 👍

Thank you Bret 👍

Hitman: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling is easily one of the most honest autobiographies I’ve come across. What makes it stand out is how raw and unfiltered it feels—this isn’t a polished PR version of events, it’s Bret Hart telling his story exactly how he lived it.
Hearing it in his own voice adds another layer. You can feel the highs, the pressure, and the personal struggles behind the scenes of the wrestling world. It goes far beyond wrestling it’s about discipline, loyalty, family, and the cost of success.
If you grew up watching that era, this hits even harder. Definitely worth the time.

well balanced and brilliant autobiography.
