About this listen

Agent Tyler Kerry promised his wife that this would be his last mission.

Fearing a biological war, his station chief ordered Tyler to rescue Liam Stinar from the Horizons terrorist group and their leader, David Fox. With his particle beam pistol in hand and his partner by his side, they head to northern Old California to take them out.

Will Tyler save the upcoming President of the United European States? Will he keep his promise to his wife and save his marriage?

In short this sounds like the author published the first draft of his first book, without any revision... :-/

You find the 2 main characters in the middle of action (it has a hook, which is why I bought it) but then I don't really get to know the characters(maybe I know a bit about the guy, but barely anything about everyone else), so why should I care about them?!
There is no character development. Yes the guy chooses not to kill the enemy, but I don't know why, and I don't know whether or not he regrets it, and the ending is not satisfying either, so what does this whole story teaches us???
There is a lot of telling, but not a lot of showing... (eg. about both targets I only hear during briefing, and/or conversations, but I never actually see them do anything...)
It's a sci-fi because, ...particle weapons hover vehicles, and holograms??? But am I supposed to know how they look, and how they work?!

My suggestion to the author: Binge watch Brandon Sanderson's lectures on YouTube, then do your world building, and plot and make your characters interesting! Also get in a writing group and get them to read your work, ask for their suggestions, and review it before publishing another book...

The narration was clear and understandable, my only problem with it is that all the characters have the same voice...

Sorry I can't recommend it... :-/
