I have been a fan of the Horrible Histories for a while, and I find the Audible versions even more fun. The stories help you get a better picture of the period with infomation normally not printed in history books you use in schools and the narrators/actors really bring these stories alive. My only problem with the Terrible Tudors is that it was too short (or too entertaining, so time went by too quickly). I could go on listening more about them!

The Terrible Tudors are definitely as Terrible as their name suggests. Many of the rulers in the Tudor era were some of the most Terrifying of all the kings and queens that have reigned over Britain.

Some these fascinating facts are bursting with gory details e.g. Blood, Executions and most disgusting of all Poo.

Medicine in the Tudor era was almost as stupid as their punishments which include; Hanging, Execution and being Burnt Alive. The medicines include; Slicing open a recently dead pigeon and placing them on your plague spots, Swallowing young frogs of recently dead spiders with butter to cure asthma.
