Some short stories I read can be quite gripping and make you want to finish them this was the opposite wouldn’t read again

Basic not scary

This is a novella so it is short, I could almost guess the story from the start but persevered, the narrator is quite good, doing her best to add suspense to the tale, but overall, disappointing.

I cannot believe how incredibly unpleasant this book was to listen to. I’ve been a fan of Scott Mariani and Ben Hope series for years and kept thinking something good would happen to redeem this nonsense. Boy was I mistaken! Do not do as I did, and waste your time and listen to this malevolent, nasty nonsense. Unfortunately the narrator was very good; part of the reason I persevered. Ugh awful. If I could give it zero stars I would but it doesn’t allow for that.
