"This book should be on every animal trainer's bookshelf...it is practical and very useful without sacrificing scientific and technical accuracy." (Jack Michael, PhD, Department of Psychology, Western Michigan University)

The narration was very stilted, even for a book of this type. The content, however, was excellent. I’m just about to begin listening a second time through as there’s so much to take in!

Interesting book

Well written and narrated, I will re-listen to this book at some point and take notes as I found it went into a lot of used details on a variety of training techniques, backed up with easy to understand examples and studies.

Fantastic book for all the training basics

Contains information about how dogs learn and stresses our responsibility in raising well behaved dogs. I probably learned quite a bit from it. However I think the presentation of the material is patronising and intimidating. I think the narrator probably captures the tone of the written word correctly and there is humour in there but it is sarcastic, which I am normally ok with, but I found it too damning.

Mixed feelings.
