About this listen

This groundbreaking book from the UK's leading spokesman on nutrition looks at why millions of people have cravings for substances such as coffee, sugar and alcohol, as well to drugs such as sleeping pills, antidepressants, marijuana and cocaine. It uncovers how the brain becomes addicted and how it can be 'unaddicted' through a combination of diet, supplements and lifestyle factors. The book is written in association with Dr David Miller, who has worked in the addiction field for 25 years and is an expert in relapse prevention. It looks at each of the most common substances that people become addicted to and offers specific advice on how to tackle that particular substance safely and effectively yourself. In-depth yet practical and accessible, HOW TO QUIT WITHOUT FEELING S**T, will allow you to understand why you feel the way you do, whether you have a depndency or have already given up but still feel lousy. The book provides a 12-week action plan for becoming addiction free - without suffering the deeply unpleasant symptoms of withdrawal that most addicts believe they must go through.©2008 David Miller Body Cleansing & Detoxification Diets, Nutrition & Healthy Eating Fitness, Diet & Nutrition Mental Health Personal Development Psychology Psychology & Mental Health Substance abuse Nutrition Healthy Diet Alcohol Pain Management Human Brain Health

Yet another great insight into the world of health! An insightful journey that shows the impacts of additction and how it effects the functionality of the human body and brain, how it responds and from that it can literally form our personality/spirit. Although the author is very easy to listen to if you are unfamiliar with nutritional supplements you will need to make notes or refer to the website where there are downloads. As the recording claims you can quit almost any addictive substance from sugar to crack cocaine by taking a handful of vitamins, amino acids, etc. that cost only about ?2 a day, it really has to be worth a try. Note the author stresses that severe drug and alcohol addiction does also require medical and group support. I've quit caffeine already after two weeks of following the program, something I've been trying to do for years. I have also noticed a big change in how I feel generally I think because as the book suggests the program is about normalising your brain chemistry, after which you can stop taking most of the supplements.

It works
