An absolute wealth of funny, interesting, chewable chunks of the history and the present of scientific discovery. This is the book for you if you have been searching for a book that will help you understand the concept of both the very big and the very small. The author has a real talent in communicating things so that they seem much more simple than they can 1st appear. Please write more books. Black holes, dark matter or anything that the author can put over to the audience with the same expertise in the art of description that he shows in this little gem.

An excellent introduction to Science in a progressive and chronological fashion, in an interesting way. Really practical and engaging fashion. Loved the content and the approach.

A very enjoyable book and well narrated. It covers a multitude of science subjects, I learned quite a few new things and could quite easily listen again in the future.

That would have been a much more accurate title for this book. How to Speak Science is misleading. Although it touches upon chemistry and, to a lesser extent, biology, I was expecting a more rounded representation of all sciences. That said, it is a well written science book for a lay audience, highlighting important discoveries through the author's personality and humor which the natrator owns pretty well. However, the "People" joke does get old pronto.

Quite possibly the best general science book I have ever listened to or read. Worth 6 or 7 stars. I cannot believe anyone would be disappointed by this book. Excellent narration and perfect pace.
