Unfortunately for me the narrator was off putting and not ideal as felt there was a lot to the content so would be best for me to read rather than listen on this occasion.
Having read another in the Master Your Mind series by Howard Hudson was looking forward to this book as enjoyed his book on Emotional Intelligence. I find a lot of self development books audio can be a good way to listen to the book but there is also the risk I find when not narrated by the author that some of it can get lost in translation from word to voice and that is the case for this audiobook. For me the narrator had a stop start and emphasised certain words is how it felt and that detracted from the listening experience. It was hard to concentrate on the message underneath and tried to overcome the distracting voice, but found it hard to separate speaker from words on this occasion.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Personally found narrator distracting

The writer starts off by describing how too much rumination can be detrimental to one's mental health and well-being. He then offers a systematic approach to recognizing destructive thought patterns, confronting them, and replacing them with constructive ideas. The book is well-structured and easy to understand, with each chapter building on the former. To help readers comprehend the concepts better, he uses examples from everyday life as well as stories.
