Story was good but the narrator let it down, comes across as a condescending toff not suited for reading war story’s to men.

Another great story from Griff Hosker. As ever, it is fast paced, well researched, and very entertaining. Unfortunately, it is narrated by someone who doesn’t seem to understand the book or the characters that he is meant to bring alive. A lot of the dialogue sounds like whingeing, especially from our hero.
I hope there’s another narrator is used for the books that have so far not been made available… And I do hope that they are made available because it’s very frustrating to only have access to a small proportion of the books that have been written in a series.

I really enjoyed this book! The characters and story are excellent. The action is very well described and is violent and blood thirsty as would expect from a story about Viking Warriors.

I like this author a lot and this story started well but I gave up with it because the narrator is to posh for viking raiders and ruined the story.
