While this story was well written and the concept unusual (hence the 4 stars), this one was a little too dark for me in places (there are just some lines that I don't think you can then redeem a character once those lines have been crossed). I liked the twist at the end, and there were elements that were intriguing and very inventive, with a kind of pagan/mythological root vibe. Overall not a bad read, and for those who want a short read and like a cat and mouse trope with dark romance - this story is well written and worth a read.

This was way better than i could have imagined. Despite being dark there was a consent line the author did not cross, and I appreciated the story better because of it. There was magic, a twist on the father Christmas figure and a ton of spice too. Iur heroine appears to be weak at first glance, but she turns out to be anything but....
The duet narration was excellent, made the short story even better.
