Story was well written and the concept was intriguing, certainly makes you think as you go. The only real issue I had which blocked it from being a 5 is the main character does some pretty bad things, little remorse and thay would be fine but it feels hypocritical with his own views too. He isn't terrible and the idea of his lack of interest in the world made him interesting in itself. Still worth the time as a story.

A fascinating study of a protagonist who is so obsessed with his own 'significance' that he misses the real world. It challenges the idea of 'destiny' and shows how easily we can fall in love with a fantasy while ignoring the brilliant people right next to us. It’s a 5-star look at a very flawed man.
