I was very much enjoying this book so its a real shame that the second to last chapter ended abruptly and unfinished... ill never know what the doctor said or did for little Mary... not o e of lifestyle big mysteries but annoying all the same.

Whilst I enjoyed the book overall, I did find it slightly confusing as it moved from story to story.

This book had everything I had hoped it would. The characters were brought to life in vivid descriptions. The narration was perfect, and the author's personal notes were a much appreciated bonus. The hours flew by whilst listening to this gem of a book.

I liked the sympathetic depiction of each character especially of the women.
I would, however, have liked to hear more about the consequences of Henry’s repetitive changes of queens on the general populace.
