I've always had lots of plants around the house as I knew the air purifying benefits. I also love using them as home decor items, as they work with every style and every room. Unfortunately, my problem was that I had to change them often because I could not keep them healthy. And it breaks my heart to throw out a plant! Listening to this book I learned so much great information about the houseplant care, about different types of plants that grow well in low light and require less care than others. The book also provides valuable information about the pesticides alternatives, which is very important to me. I learned so much about my plants and it makes me happy to know that I can take good care of them and keep them healthy for many years. I highly recommned this book if you love houseplants already, or just decided to bring these lovely friends to your home for the first time!

I love my plants even more now!

If you just got your first houseplant, or would like to, I think this book is a good place to start. The author begins by making a case for houseplants. Then, you find tips for picking which plants to have and how to consider things like the soil, light, and pest control. I like that the language of the book is simple as are the concepts so that anyone who is just starting out can benefit from the book.

I have been a houseplant collector since I was a child but lately I’ve lost my touch. This book has very helpfully reminded me how to offer the best care to my plant-babies.
The chapter on air purifiers was useful as I’m working from home these days.
I was interested to listen to the list of low light tolerant plants as I’m soon moving to a NW facing house.

Helps me understand why house planting attempts have always failed. Gives great details on soil, pests, and proper maintenance. I like how the chapters continue to repeat the basics, which can be similar between certain plant species.

Clears up a lot of confusion
