Infamous was such a great listen 🎧✨. Sophie’s fallen-star 🌟 fresh start had me rooting for her from the beginning, and when she runs into Connor—her ex–best friend turned boss 😏—I was hooked. Their second chance was messy, emotional ❤️, and so worth it😍.

June DeBorhae nailed Sophie’s vulnerability, and James Cassidy gave Connor that perfect broody edge 🔥. Together, they made this story feel alive. Definitely a must-listen! 🙌

Ivy Wild blows me away with another amazing novel, a standalone romance set in her “Kings of Capital” series that hooks you in right from the start and will easily become your obsession. I couldn’t put down the book, with its original story and interesting storylines, a second chance like no other. Sophie Stronglen and Connor Driscoll were best of friends, each other’s person, and the feelings they shared for one another were morphing into something so much more. Connor was ready for their relationship to move to another level, but when a scout from a record label approaches Sophie after playing a gig with an offer, she jumps on it, despite Connor’s skepticism. It was all a whirlwind after that, signing a contract with the record label, and she is on her way to becoming the next big pop star. The only thing she did not have was Connor, and they fell out of touch. Sophie broke his heart by leaving and never looking back, but he went on and became his own success in business and real estate. When Sophie’s career tanked, she went back to finish college and ran into Connor, and he was nothing like he was when she left, and whether it was fate or the universe working against her, the company she is interning at is his. Connor was still angry with Sophie, but he never got over her, and he still harbored feelings for her, and they were not one-sided feelings. Sophie was trying to stay under the radar and away from the press, who were brutal with her scandal and career fallout. But a tip-off to the press erases her anonymity, forcing her to face her past once more, and while she doesn’t know is, she is not in the fight alone this time. There is never a dull moment in this wonderfully written, multi-layered story, a cleverly plotted story with the perfect balance of drama, angst, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. The music industry is not an easy one to make it in, and my heart went out to Sophie for all she endured, and I was rooting for her the entire time, I was rooting for her and Connor to make it as a couple too. Ivy Wild, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing audiobook production, June Deborahae and James Cassidy, an ideal pairing and cast to bring these characters to life, and with character voices that were fitting, they delivered a superb portrayal of each. Deborahae was Sophie, grasping every aspect of her personality, from her vulnerabilities to her strength and determination. Cassidy nailed it as Connor, showcasing his personality and demeanor perfectly, from his alpha and confident side to his caring and passionate side. Both were fantastic at voicing the side and secondary characters, giving each their own distinct voice, making it easy to tell who was who. They set the right tone for the story, conveyed all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to, and their captivating performance keeps you glued to the story.
