A really enjoyable listen and wonderful follow-on to the first novel. The first couple of chapters involve a massive battle reminiscent of some of the most memorable space battles in Battlestar Galactica. Plenty of "yeeeaah" moments.

I was actually pretty into this series until the last 5-6 hours of this book. Suddenly, we have a new species who we immediately tell them where we're from and openly accept everything they say with no caution or real questioning what-so-ever. I honestly stared at the player for the entire chapter, thinking it must be some sort of mind control... Nope. Then it goes even further and the entire earth is united! ...In 2 days. Erm. Sure... Now we're taking weapons and ships from these new aliens after literally being told It's how the enemies control their client species. Again, zero suspicion. Zero caution. Zero objection.

Well written with a momentum and some excellent surprises. A proper space opera in the making

I love the serie a good deal. It is well written and read by Jonathan. The only thing I can put my finger on that annoys me is that the Author plays quite fast and loss with History and world knowledge such as apparently humans and DINASAUCES lived side by side just a 4000 years ago. And apparently an Alian race have a home world that's a few MILLION Lightyears away but still some how is in the Milkyway even though the Milkyway only is around 125.000Light years end to end.

I love the serie.

Book two is just as good as the first, but with more aliens! Best Military SCI-FI book since Expeditionary force series.
