 Kappabashi Dogugai is a wholesale district located between Asakusa and Ueno that mainly sells cooking utensils. かっぱ橋道具街は浅草と上野の中間にある、主に調理関係の道具を扱う問屋街です。
かっぱ橋道具街は、大正時代の初めにわずか数軒の道具商が店を構えたことに始まります。
現在は、南北約800ｍの道の両側に約170店舗がひしめく、日本一の道具街。食器や調理器具から看板、制服まで、飲食店に関するものなら何でも揃うといわれています。
かっぱ橋道具街は、主にプロの料理人を相手に発展を遂げてきましたが、どの店も入りづらい雰囲気はなく、一般の人々も気軽に買い物ができます。
